Painful job cuts. Unnecessary jail deaths. Escalating lawsuits. Deep budget deficits. Declining employee morale. Ineffective rural area service coverage. The Nueces County Sheriff’s office needs new leadership.

I recently retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety after 30 years of service to the State of Texas and moved back to Corpus Christi, where I was born and raised with many of you.. But I cannot stand idly by and watch Nueces County and the Nueces County Sheriff’s Department continue in a downward spiral. That’s why I am running for Sheriff.

You may wonder why I would want to inherit so many problems. It’s not about Robert Longoria. It’s about my home, our home. It is about the residents of Nueces County. It is about our committed Nueces County Sheriff’s deputies. I dedicated my career to law enforcement and now I want to use that experience to serve you.

I am asking for your support. We are up against a comfortable incumbent sheriff. But with your contribution of time, money and heart, we can win and make Nueces County safer, stronger, prouder. Please, give and do whatever you can. Your support will make the difference and every little bit helps.
