Client NewsNews Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Health Administration Services Appoints New Executive Leadership- Industry veterans focused on expanding regional client base/visibility - February 13, 2006 (HOUSTON, TX)…Health Administration Services, one of Texas’s largest third-party administrators of health benefits services, recently welcomed Don Benson as the new Chief Executive Officer and Craig Peterson as the new Senior Vice President of Business Development. Donald T. Benson, CEO Prior to joining HAS, Benson served in senior executive positions with several Fortune 500 companies including CIGNA, Aetna, Coventry Health Care and Connecticut General. Mr. Benson also served in executive leadership with the Methodist Health Care System in Houston, Texas. Benson managed a worldwide command and control system for the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon and the White House and has held senior executive positions in defense, insurance, financial services, healthcare and real estate and information systems in the United States, Latin America and Pacific Rim. Benson earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from Central Connecticut University. He also completed continuing studies at several other schools and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Strayer University. “I want HAS to lead our industry in having the highest possible commitment to ethical standards and transparent dealings,” said Benson. “The values of our company will always be aligned with those of our clients, both broker and employer, to insure we are delivering on our promises.” Craig Peterson, Senior VP for Business Development Craig Peterson has more than 25 years of experience spanning all aspects of insurance sales and marketing. Before joining HAS, Peterson served as the regional marketing director for a national insurance company in Houston, where he was responsible for sales activities in 35 states. Prior to that, he was the director of sales and marketing at a national third-party administrator in Florida and in Dallas as the director of business development for an insurance agency. Peterson also has served as the CEO of several organizations including an insurance technology start-up company, a Texas-based third-party administrator, and an independent insurance agency. Peterson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He holds several regulatory licenses. He is a frequent presenter at conferences and has published several articles in insurance and benefit magazines.
