Regency Energy Partners is a NASDQ-traded master limited partnership that owns natural gas gathering and processing systems in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Kansas, and an intrastate pipeline in Louisiana. GE Energy Financial Services, a division of GE acquired the interests in the partnership for $603 million. GE Energy Financial Services acquired 91 percent of Regency’s general partner and nearly 17 million subordinated units from HM Capital, which retained more than 8 million of the common limited partner units and stands as the second largest investor in Regency.
