The list ran in the publication’s May 2007 issue. D Magazine asked all attorneys with a valid Texas Bar number to indicate their primary practice area. Then they were asked to nominate up to two lawyers outside their own firm and one at their firm and in their respective practice group based on this question: “Which Dallas lawyers, of those whose work you have witnessed firsthand, would you rank among the current best?” Once the initial votes came in, D Magazine recruited a panel of Dallas attorneys to evaluate the list.
